Before we go any further, let’s clear the air. Yes, this is my real name. And yes, it is awesome. However, I cannot take the credit on this one, so high five Mom & Dad! Love you guys!
I call Greensboro, NC, home and graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in May 2015. Currently chillin' in Durham, NC. I like it here.
I hate designing, but I love coding. I actually get excited about hours of coding. Who does that? Crazy people.
And I love writing, bet you didn’t see that coming!
...does this make me a copycoder?
When I was 4, my mother and I co-founded Creative Solutions, Inc. It was a "company" designed to eliminate boredom and to learn problem solving. Hence, I’ve been raised to be a problem solver. It's a gift and a curse.
After 18 years as VP, I have resigned in hopes of finding a more lucrative position. (With better benefits.)
I was raised in a sports family; for over 10 years, I spent almost every weekend at a ballpark. Don’t be ridiculous, I wasn’t playing. I don’t have an athletic bone in my body; both of my siblings played. Why is this relevant? I am a team player. I don’t know how to be anything else. Compromising, sacrificing, conflict-resolution, massage trains, yeah, yeah, I do all of that.
Dare I say more than writing? (Gasp.) I love concepting and coming up with ideas that just make so much sense, that it’s hard to believe that you didn’t think of them sooner. I love solutions that make people smile or make their lives even the slightest bit easier. Which, I now realize that explains my love of Shark Tank.
I rarely go a day without a Seinfeld reference. I also love The Office, Parks and Rec, and ok basically everything please just ask me before I embarrass myself by listing out my entire Netflix queue.
Little Debbie is my homegirl; the Original Brownies are my favorite snack. I also am a fan of pizza. And potatoes. And really all food except Velveeta Shells, but I won't get into that. I am a Stoner, after all. The munchies are hereditary.
